New Biome and Structure in Bedrock 26.50

The dappled forest is an autumn-themed biome found near cold biomes. Its signature tree is the poplar, with red, orange or yellow leaves. Fallen poplar logs show up more often than standing trees, and shelf mushrooms grow on both. You will also see red shrubs, leaf litter, brown mushrooms and the odd spruce tree.

The abandoned camp is a small surface structure. It can generate in 18 biomes, from meadows and forests to taigas, jungles, swamps, savannas, badlands and pale gardens. Camps vary by biome, with wool stairs, leaves, cobwebs, a tree or a crop farm. Their copper chests, chests and barrels hold loot, including explorer maps that point to other camps or structures.

Does a Bedrock 26.50 Seed Match Java?

For terrain and biomes, yes. Java 26.3 is the same drop, and since 1.18 both editions share terrain and biome generation for the same seed. So a dappled forest on Java sits in the same place on Bedrock.

Structures are a different story. Bedrock uses its own placement rules for most structures, so abandoned camps, villages and temples may not line up with Java. Always use the Bedrock map for Bedrock structures.

Compared with earlier Bedrock versions, the dappled forest claims land near cold biomes. Camps also add new structure spots. Remember that already-explored chunks keep their old look after you update.

How to Check Your Bedrock Version

Open Settings from the main menu. The version number is listed near the bottom of the settings screen. On many devices, it also appears in a corner of the title screen.
