Java Edition 1.21.11, the Mounts of Mayhem drop, came out on December 9, 2025. It was the last Java release before the switch to year-based numbers. This Minecraft 1.21.11 seed map shows your world exactly as the 1.21.11 generator builds it. Enter a seed to find villages, ocean ruins, shipwrecks, deserts and more, all with coordinates you can copy.
World Generation Changes in Mounts of Mayhem
Mounts of Mayhem did not add new biomes or structures. Terrain is unchanged as well. Instead, the drop changed what you find inside existing structures and which mobs spawn in certain biomes.
New loot appears in structure chests:
- Buried treasure and ocean ruins can hold spears and copper, iron, gold or diamond nautilus armor.
- Shipwrecks can hold all four kinds of nautilus armor.
- Bastion remnants and end cities can hold diamond spears.
- Village weaponsmith chests can hold copper and iron spears.
New spawns tie into biomes, too. Nautiluses spawn in every ocean. Zombie nautiluses spawn with a drowned rider, and the coral variant appears in warm oceans. In deserts, camel husks and parched skeletons spawn at light level 0. Zombie horses now spawn naturally in plains and savannas.
Does Your Seed Match 1.21.9 and 26.1?
Yes. Since nothing about terrain or structure placement changed, a seed produces the same layout in 1.21.9, 1.21.10 and 1.21.11. Villages, temples and strongholds sit in the same places.
The same goes for the next step. Java 26.1 kept the 1.21.11 layout, so updating will not move your landmarks. The first real shift comes in 26.2, which adds sulfur caves underground.
How to Tell If You Are on 1.21.11
Look at the bottom-left of the title screen first. It shows the version you launched. In the launcher, the Installations tab lists the version of each profile. If your profile says "Latest release", it now points to a 26.x version, so create a custom profile if you want to stay on 1.21.11.
Inside a world, press F3. The top line of the debug screen shows the version as well.
Using the Minecraft 1.21.11 Seed Map for Loot Runs
- Mark buried treasure, ocean ruins and shipwrecks together. A short boat trip can net you several pieces of nautilus armor.
- Look for warm oceans if you want the coral zombie nautilus.
- Scout deserts for camel husks, but go at night or into dark areas, since they need light level 0.
- Find a plains or savanna biome near spawn if you want to meet zombie horses.
Planning a Treasure Route by Structure
Each structure hides different chests, so plan your route around what you want:
- Shipwrecks often carry a map chest. Its treasure map leads to buried treasure.
- Ocean ruins are shallow and quick to loot. Watch out for drowned.
- Buried treasure always holds a heart of the sea, and now it can hold spears too.
- Bastion remnants in the Nether reward you with diamond spears, but piglin brutes guard them.
- End cities sit on the outer End islands, so save them for after the dragon.
With the map, you can skip the treasure map step entirely. Turn on markers, copy coordinates and sail straight there.
