Seed map › Versions › Java 1.15

Java Edition 1.15, Buzzy Bees, was released on December 10, 2019. It was a small update focused on bees and bug fixes. This Minecraft 1.15 seed map shows your world as 1.15 builds it. Enter your seed to find flower forests, plains, villages, temples and strongholds, with coordinates you can copy into the game.

What Buzzy Bees Changed in the World

Buzzy Bees made one notable change to world generation: bee nests. They hang from oak and birch trees in a few biomes:

  • plains
  • sunflower plains
  • flower forests

Each nest comes with bees inside. Harvest honey with a glass bottle, or collect honeycomb with shears. Use a campfire below to keep the bees calm.

Beyond that, 1.15 did not add new biomes or structures. Terrain is unchanged. Mojang spent most of this update on performance and bug fixes.

Do 1.14 and 1.16 Seeds Match?

Against 1.14, a seed gives the same terrain, biomes and structures. The only visible difference is bee nests on some trees. So 1.14 seed guides still work here.

Against 1.16, the Overworld mostly matches, but ruined portals appear. Meanwhile, the Nether is completely different, because 1.16 added four new Nether biomes and bastion remnants. If you plan to update, compare both Nether maps first.

How to Check Your Version

Look at the bottom-left corner of the title screen. It shows the version you launched. In the launcher, open Installations to see the version for each profile. Versions 1.15, 1.15.1 and 1.15.2 all fit this page.

If you play on a server, check the server list, which shows the server's version.

Tips for the Minecraft 1.15 Seed Map

  • Turn on biome colors and look for flower forests. They have the most flowers, which helps bees make honey faster.
  • Check plains near spawn for bee nests. They are easy to reach and good for an early farm.
  • Find a village close to plains. You get trades, beds and bees in one place.
  • Use the stronghold marker to plan your End trip early.

Honey, Hives and Bee Farming

Bee nests are the start of a bee farm. Here is how to use them:

  • Collect honey with a glass bottle once the nest is full.
  • Use shears to get honeycomb, which crafts into beehives.
  • Place a campfire under the nest first, so the bees stay calm.
  • Use Silk Touch to move a nest with its bees inside.

Bees also pollinate crops as they fly home, so farms near a nest grow faster. Honey blocks, made from honey bottles, slow down mobs and players. Plan a base near flowers and a nest, and your farm will run itself.

Version 1.15 also spent a lot of effort on performance and bug fixes. For you, that means a smoother game, but the same world. So if you liked a seed in 1.14, it still works here, now with bees buzzing in the plains.

As a final tip, avoid breaking nests by accident. Angry bees chase you in a swarm, and each sting can poison you.
