Java Edition 1.19, The Wild Update, was released on June 7, 2022. Versions 1.19.1 and 1.19.2 followed with fixes and kept the same generator. This Minecraft 1.19.2 seed map covers all three. Enter your seed to find the deep dark, ancient cities and mangrove swamps, along with every older structure.
What The Wild Update Added to the World
The Wild Update brought three big additions:
- The deep dark, a cave biome far below the surface. It is covered in sculk, sculk sensors, sculk shriekers and catalysts. It mostly forms under high, inland terrain like mountains.
- Ancient cities, huge ruins that only generate in the deep dark. They hold some of the best loot in the game, including enchanted books and swift sneak.
- Mangrove swamps, warm wetlands with mangrove trees, mud and mangrove roots.
Frogs also arrived. Their color depends on the biome where the tadpole grows up. In addition, allays now appear in pillager outposts and woodland mansions.
The Warden and Why Location Matters
Ancient cities are guarded by the warden. Shriekers summon it when you make too much noise. So knowing the exact location of a city helps a lot. You can dig straight down to it, light the area and avoid wandering through the deep dark.
Meanwhile, mangrove swamps take some of the warm, wet land that was ordinary swamp. Witch huts still only spawn in regular swamps, so check the biome before you look for one.
Do 1.18 and 1.19.3 Seeds Match?
Compared with 1.18, the surface terrain stays the same. However, the deep dark replaces some underground areas, and mangrove swamps replace some swamps. Ancient cities add new structures far below.
Compared with 1.19.3 and 1.19.4, almost everything matches, except strongholds. In 1.19.3, Mojang changed the stronghold placement code. Strongholds still form rings around the origin, but each one can shift a few degrees. So use this map if your world runs 1.19 to 1.19.2.
Version Check and Minecraft 1.19.2 Seed Map Tips
Look at the bottom-left of the title screen, or at your profile in the launcher's Installations tab. Press F3 in game to confirm.
- Turn on the ancient city marker. Cities sit deep below the surface in the deep dark.
- Dig down to about Y −50 at the marked coordinates, and sneak once you arrive.
- Use biome colors to spot mangrove swamps in warm, wet lowlands.
- Bring wool to cover sculk sensors and keep the warden asleep.
Mud, Mangroves and Frogs
Mangrove swamps are full of useful blocks. Mud can be dried into packed mud and crafted into mud bricks. Mangrove roots and mangrove wood add a new building set.
Frogs are worth a trip too. A tadpole's adult color depends on where it grows up:
- cold biomes give green frogs
- warm biomes give white frogs
- other biomes give orange frogs
Each frog type eats small magma cubes and leaves a matching froglight. So collect all three, and you get three colors of light block.
Mangrove swamps also make good bases. Build on stilts above the water, and you get a quiet spot with frogs, froglights and plenty of mud close at hand.
FAQ
